Manchester City drew a blank in the first leg of their maiden Champions League semi-final against Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.
Madrid will arguably be the happier of the two parties as the tie now goes back to the Spanish capital where they will have home advantage.
City won’t be disappointed with a 0-0, however, and will look to go to the Bernabeu to get a victory. Having already produced excellent performances in Seville, Kiev and Gladbach, the Blues will be looking to replicate that feat.
As for the game, it was a fairly tepid affair which didn’t produce anything clear cut in terms of chances. Joe Hart provided some heroics with excellent saves to deny Pepe and Casemiro whilst City could only resort to a few potshots. Raheem Sterling was handed a good chance at the end of the game but his touch let him down.
