Al Qadsiah are in advanced talks to sign City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, according to David Ornstein.
The Saudi Pro League club are working to finalise a deal with City and the Netherlands international, although an agreement has not yet been reached.
Ornstein reports that talks are expected to continue over the coming days.
The potential move would be a major change in plans for Reijnders, who joined City this summer and has featured during their pre-season preparations.
The 28-year-old was expected to compete for a regular place in Enzo Maresca’s midfield this season, but Al Qadsiah’s interest could now lead to an early departure.
City have yet to agree a fee with the Saudi club and there is still work to be done before the transfer can be completed.
The report follows earlier claims from Fabrizio Romano and Yago Sabuncuoglu that Al Qadsiah were pursuing Reijnders.
For now, the midfielder remains a Manchester City player, but the latest development means his future is now one to watch closely.
Should the deal go through, City would have to reassess their midfield options only weeks after bringing Reijnders to the club.
