Pep Guardiola praises Marc Guehi

Often praised for his contributions on the pitch, Guehi also earns plaudits due to his personality and the way he conducts himself.

Guardiola has been impressed by the defender’s ‘behaviour’, as well as his ability to respond to facing setbacks.

He has been an incredible signing, the manager said of Guehi in his press conference before Man City’s clash against Crystal Palace.

“His focus in every single detail, in his private life to be a professional. He is an unbelievable signing for this club.

“We are really pleased with his behaviour, how he accepts the bad moments and he turns around immediately.

“That defines the big, big players at the big clubs. We are very pleasePep Guardiola gives update on Abdukodir Khusanov and Rodri

Speaking in his press conference ahead of Man City’s clash with Crystal Palace, Guardiola has shared how close Rodri and Abdukodir Khusanov are to making a return.

Rodri last played in City’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal, while Khusanov suffered an injury during the 3-3 draw against Everton.

“Better, we will see in training,” Guardiola said, when asked about whether Rodri is likely to be fit on Wednesday.

On Khusanov, the manager added: “Better as well. Had a tough knock but he is better. No concerns we arrive good.”

Bernardo Silva and John Stones recreate Oasis photo

Both players have done plenty to be remembered at Man City for a number of years to come, but the club have captured an image which will make the stars unforgettable.

Kevin Cummins once took a picture of Noel and Liam Gallagher wearing City shirts from the ‘90s with the Brother sponsor.

Now, he has snapped Silva and Stones recreating that iconic photo, with Stones piggybac

Troy Deeney includes Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku in team of the week

Ex-Watford striker Troy Deeney has named his Premier League team of the week and two Man City players have been included.

Doku is an obvious choice after another jawdropping performance, while Haaland made the cut due to his two goal contributions.

Speaking about Doku, Deeney told BBC Sport: “What a month he’s had. He hadn’t scored a goal since November and then he’s got four in the last month.

“He’s flying and Manchester City are trying to put a bit of pressure on but it doesn’t feel like they’ll have enough in the tank.”

Turning his attention to Haaland, the retired forward added: “Goal and an assist so that’s why he is the man there.”

Jamie Carragher calls Jeremy Doku the Premier League’s best winger

Doku has been so good that his performances have impressed far more than just his own club’s supporters.

Indeed, Jamie Carragher revealed on Sky Sports MNF that he thinks the 23-year-old is the best winger in England.

“Doku is keeping the title race alive, and that was the same at the weekend,” Carragher claimed. “We know what happened at Everton, getting that last gasp point.

“I think looking at it right now, I think he’s the best winger in the Premier League. Certainly the one if I was a defender, I wouldn’t want to play against.”

Enzo Maresca responds to Man City rumours

Maresca had stayed quiet about a potential return to Manchester City, but now he has offered his verdict.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian says he is ‘ready’ to get back into a managerial role, but he has not confirmed whether it will be as an employee of the Citizens.

He said: “I’m feeling ready for the next chapter, that’s the most important thing. Man City job? What matters, apart from clubs, is to be ready”.

“There’s still a few weeks before the season ends and then we will see what happens”.
