Pep Guardiola has named his matchday squad as Manchester City look to right the wrongs of Monday night with a victory.

The Citizens were held to a 3-3 draw by Everton, after a second half where the wheels well and truly came off for the visiting team.

Now, their focus is on bouncing back against a team who have experienced hardships of their own. Brentford are having an excellent season on the whole, and thrashed West Ham 3-0 last Saturday.

However, they were winless in their previous six Premier League matches, so City will feel that it is obligatory to claim all three points today.

Pep Guardiola makes two changes to Man City’s starting lineup

Abukordir Khusanov has not been named in today’s squad, with Nathan Ake stepping in to fill the void.

The other change is Tijjani Reijnder’s inclusion, as he replaces Nico Gonzalez in midfield. The Spaniard was the hero against Southampton, but struggled to make an impact last Monday.

There are no changes across the frontline, with Erling Haaland playing in front of Rayan Cherki and the two usual wingers.
