- North Stand ticket details confirmed
- Aston Villa clash could make Etihad history
- Full opening still subject to test events
Manchester City have confirmed ticketing information for the expanded North Stand ahead of their final Premier League home match against Aston Villa.
Man City are approaching the end of a significant season. After winning the Carabao Cup, the Sky Blues are still chasing glory in the FA Cup and Premier League.
The final weeks of the campaign carry major importance as Pep Guardiola’s team are hoping to win the treble this season.
However, regardless of the results, the last game against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium might become a landmark occasion for the club.
Man City confirm North Stand ticket details for Aston Villa
Man City are planning to trial the expanded North Stand at full capacity against Aston Villa. The club have now confirmed that more than 3,500 tickets will go on sale at 10 am UK time on Friday, 8th May.
Those tickets will be available to existing Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members as of 18th June 2025. Likewise, the supporters are limited to one ticket per person.
However, the tickets are still subject to the successful completion of the required test events and operational checks.
City are currently selling 50 per cent of the additional general admission seating allocation as the tests are still in progress.
The remaining half will be released after the public test event on Wednesday, 20th May. If the event is a success, we should see news about the sale of these after the 20th.
Expanded North Stand could break Etihad attendance record
The Aston Villa match could become a historic fixture for Man City. However, it will be conditional on the expanded North Stand being cleared for full use.
Should the test events be passed successfully, supporters in the new section will be among the first fans to experience the expanded stand on a senior men’s matchday.
The occasion could also help the Citizens break the Etihad Stadium’s previous attendance record of 54,693.
If City remain in the Premier League race till the last game, they should see a new total of 60,000 seats sold in minutes.
Man City taking cautious approach with phased opening
The Aston Villa game could be a major moment if the club actually breaks the attendance record. However, City are also taking a careful approach to the expanded North Stand.
In the phased opening, the Carabao Cup winners have decided to host an event before the game. This entertainment event will take place on the 20th of May, just days before the Aston Villa clash.
Likewise, Man City have decided to only test the stand at 50 per cent capacity on the 20th. Hence, fans will only see 3,500 tickets for the day.
City could lift the Premier League trophy against Aston Villa
Arsenal are on course to win the Premier League, but a lot can change in the space of two weeks. City, of course, will have their fingers crossed that it does.
Should Arsenal drop points in any of their final three matches, that would give the Citizens an opportunity to leapfrog their title rivals.
If Man City are successful in doing this, they would be able to lift the Premier League trophy in front of a record crowd at the Etihad Stadium.
