Erling Haaland looking forward to ‘exciting times’ next season with Manchester City

  • Striker insists he is going nowhere
  • Excited for how club will improve next season

Erling Haaland has silenced any rumours about him leaving Manchester City, while speaking about why the club will be even better after the summer.

Manchester City have struggled for much of the season, with Arsenal spending most of it at the top of the Premier League table.

Additionally, the Citizens suffered a last 16 exit in the Champions League, despite a top-eight finish in the league phase.

However, Pep Guardiola’s team have turned things around and are now just a few victories away from recording a domestic treble triumph.

Erling Haaland looks ahead to next season

There is still plenty to be done in order to ensure Man City claim all three English trophies this season, but Erling Haaland is already looking forward to what comes next.

The striker has pointed out that it is not easy for City’s latest additions to adapt to a new club. Still, once they have had a campaign to adjust, they will come back even stronger after the summer.

Haaland told ESPN: “It’s been a lot of change now the last couple of years, I would say in the last year.

“There’s been lots of players that have been here for a long time. So with new players, it takes time. It’s not easy to come into a new league for someone, new country, all of this. It takes time to adapt.

“I think exciting times and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”

He added: “I’m super happy and I’m looking forward to what’s next because I think it’s exciting times for City as a club and also me as a player,” he said. “I’m looking forward to continuing with City.”

Haaland has no plans to leave Man City

There were rumours a couple of months ago about Barcelona’s interest in Haaland and even suggestions that the Norwegian might be interested in a move.

However, Haaland has made it clear that City are the club of his future and that he is definitely sticking around for next season at the very least.

The 25-year-old is on course to win another Premier League golden boot, and he has already lifted one trophy this season.

Therefore, it would make little sense for him to leave now, especially when the team could be even better in August.

Man City have another transfer window to improve their squad

The Sky Blues have shown themselves to be highly effective when it comes to identifying talents who can ensure the club’s future success.

Rayan Cherki has been a standout signing to have joined last summer, while Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo were very good buys in the mid-season transfer window.

With another chance to sign new players ahead of the 2026/27 season, Man City could be an even better side.
