- Three high performers nominated
Three Manchester City stars have been nominated for the club’s April Player of the Month award after impressing in recent weeks.
It has been a hugely successful month for City, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning each of their five matches across the Premier League an FA Cup.
Many stars have shone for the Carabao Cup winners this month, with plenty of incredible individual performances to look back on.
However, three players have earned special recognition for their contributions, and have been nominated for the club’s Player of the Month award in April.
Three Manchester City stars up for Player of the Month award
After an incredibly successful April, any number of City stars could have been nominated for this month’s award.
Whittling the shortlist down to three must have been difficult, but Bernardo Silva, Nico O’Reilly, and Abdukodir Khusanov are all extremely deserving.

Each has impressed every time they have pulled on a City shirt this month, and the trio have all been heavily involved throughout the last five games.
Man City trio would all be worthy winners
As if it wasn’t already a blow, Bernardo Silva’s impending exit is becoming increasingly hard to swallow with every incredible performance he delivers.
Likewise, Nico O’Reilly has continued to show his dazzling ability all season. In March, his brace in the Carabao Cup final was decisive as City beat Arsenal.
Since then, the 21-year-old has scored against Chelsea and provided an assist in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Liverpool.
Khusanov, meanwhile, has been steadily building an impressive defensive partnership with Marc Guehi. The paid have dramatically improved City’s back-line, and continue to develop as a unit.
April has transformed Manchester City’s season
It’s been an incredible month for Guardiola’s team. The Sky Blues started April nine points adrift of Arsenal, but are now just three behind the Gunners, with a game in hand.
Having found their form at just the right time, City could still win a treble. If they do, it will be a remarkable achievement.
Few would have believed it possible even just a couple of months ago. The turnaround in form has been incredible, and the likes of Silva, O’Reilly and Khusanov have been pivotal to that.
