- Man City interested in Elliot Anderson
- Citizens in favourable position
- Attempting to agree swift deal
Elliot Anderson has long been linked with Manchester City and a deal could soon be agreed for the midfielder.
Manchester City have always been in the conversation over Elliot Anderson and were said to be confident in completing a deal for the England international.
However, Anderson is viewed in high regard by Manchester United, making the matter more complicated for City.
Despite this, it appears the end could finally be in sight for this saga, with one club set to win the race for Nottingham Forest’s star player.
Man City are most likely to sign Elliot Anderson
According to Sky Sports, Man City are in ‘pole position’ to sign Anderson when the summer transfer window opens.

The aim for Pep Guardiola’s team is to agree a deal to bring the midfielder in before the World Cup, but whether this will happen cannot be confirmed.
Relations between the clubs are reportedly ‘excellent’, which is good news for all those of a Sky Blue persuasion.
Man City have their Bernardo Silva replacement
Anderson is a box-to-box player who has the workrate to be a strong successor to Bernardo Silva in Man City’s midfield.
The two talents are by no means identical, but Anderson plays to a high standard and is a true professional.
Now, Man City need to ensure Rodri does not also depart the club. Otherwise another signing will need to be made who can accompany Anderson at the centre of the pitch.
City are a no-brainer for Anderson
Of all the options Anderson currently has, it makes sense to pick Man City considering the club’s current position.
The Citizens have just put themselves back in the driving seat to win the Premier League, while they are showing promise in the FA Cup.
Anderson could potentially be joining a side who just sealed a domestic treble and better still, he would walk straight into the first-team.
There is no guarantee of winning trophies at Arsenal, and Manchester United have not won a Premier League title for more than a decade.
Whereas City are a successful club who already have a promising squad of young players who will go on to do great things.
