- Wayne Bridge spent six seasons at Chelsea
- Joined Man City in 2009
- Was filmed celebrating with City fans
Former Chelsea and Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge has been spotted joining in with City’s celebrations after their 3-0 victory against the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
Pep Guardiola’s side scored three second-half goals through Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku to claim every point on offer and keep the pressure on Arsenal in the title race.
City now trail the Gunners by just six points ahead of their massive clash on Sunday, and still have a game in hand over Mikel Arteta’s side.
There were plenty of celebrations at Stamford Bridge after the full-time whistle against Chelsea, but one surprising figure filmed joining in was ex-Blues defender Wayne Bridge.
Wayne Bridge joins Man City celebrations after Chelsea win
Former England international Bridge spent six years at Chelsea after joining from Southampton in 2003, winning the Premier League title under Jose Mourinho.
It was therefore quite a surprise to see him join in with the City celebrations at Stamford Bridge last weekend, considering his history with the club.

Bridge, who later joined Man City in 2009, was back at his former club. However, he was in the away end with the Carabao Cup winning team’s official TV channel pundits.
“I got right involved, I was loving it,” he told The Sun. “I loved being in the away end. I loved that chant: ‘Are you watching, Arsenal? Are you watching, Arsenal?’
“Arsenal are going to be nervous. It’s going to affect their game a little bit.”
Bridge’s actions will not have pleased Chelsea fans
Cameras showed Bridge joining in with the chants and taking photos with City fans in the away end, something that will no doubt have riled a large number of Chelsea supporters.
Bridge enjoyed the most successful years of his career at the West London club, and is still remembered as a top-level defender.
A six-point margin. A Premier League title on the line. It doesn't get much bigger than this.@ManCity host @Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday at 16:30 BST 🔴🔵 pic.twitter.com/cQ4sXqIr12

The 45-year-old appeared on the 16th season of ITV’s hit reality TV series ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, where he finished fifth.
However, he may find the atmosphere just as uncomfortable as a Bushtucker Trial next time he tries to enter the home end at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea win sees City take destiny into their own hands
Thanks to last weekend’s win at Chelsea and Arsenal’s chock defeat against Bournemouth, City now have the title race firmly in their own hands once more.
Trailing by six points, they can reduce that gap to three by beating Arsenal on Sunday, and can move level with the Gunners if they also win their game in hand against Burnley on Wednesday, April 22.
Given that Arsenal’s goal difference is only three better than City’s, winning both of those games would put Pep Guardiola’s side top of the table for the first time since August.
