- Arsenal vs Manchester City
- Wembley Stadium
- 16:30 kick off (UK time)
Manchester City will play Arsenal for the Carabao Cup and it is likely to be a close game decided by narrow margins.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City have had good Carabao Cup campaigns, but neither team have had any particular moment of brilliance.
City’s semi-final victory over Newcastle was pretty impressive and Arsenal did well to defeat Chelsea, but neither side appears to be the obvious winner.
Based on other competitions, Arsenal seem the more likely victors, as they are leading the way in the Premier League and remain in the Champions League.
However, stick them against Real Madrid and the latter point might not actually be true, which is important to take into consideration.
Ultimately, this is a match-up of two clubs whose standards this season are quite similar, so expect a close game on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester City will win the Carabao Cup on penalties
There is no chance we could possibly predict an Arsenal victory in the League Cup final, regardless of the current circumstances.
As a result, the verdict here is that Man City will emerge triumphant from Wembley Stadium, but Mikel Arteta’s team will not make things easy.
The Gunners are a massive threat from set-pieces and City have been tending to concede at least once in recent matches, making a clean sheet unlikely.
Surely there will be at least a few chances at the other end of the pitch and if the pattern from past matches continues, some of these will be wasted.
Despite this, City should do enough to send the game to extra time, before eventually winning via a penalty shootout.

Pep Guardiola has to get his team selection spot on
Having control is all well and good, but Guardiola’s recent team selections have been way off the mark when it comes to playing with pace.
This cannot be another one of those games where City have more possession, yet fail to use it to their advantage.
Guardiola must choose a team where creativity and innovation is priortisied, as one or two well struck passes could end up being the difference between a victory and a defeat.
