Pep Guardiola has been linked with a Manchester City exit and he may have just given a clue about whether he will still be at the club next season.

Time is ticking on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City tenure, as the manager approaches a decade at the Etihad Stadium.

As phenomenal as Guardiola has been, there are concerns he could be about to end a second successive season without any silverware, based on his team’s current form.

With this in mind, there have been reports claiming Guardiola could leave Man City this summer, especially due to the fact his contract expires next year anyway.

Pep Guardiola may have confirmed his Manchester City future

Despite what the media are saying, Guardiola appears to have given the biggest indication yet on whether he is going to remain as the Man City manager next season.

Following City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, Guardiola spoke about continuing to fight until the end of the season, before looking ahead to what comes next.

He told Beanyman Sports: “I like my team still. I know for people today, in modern football, it’s not [the case], but still I like it! Until the end, we’ll continue, [and] next season we’ll be back.”

Man City fans would like a chance in leadership

It very much seems that Guardiola has plans to remain in his current position next season, but many Man City supporters have been calling for him to reconsider.

The tactical genius may have brought a lot of success to the club, but he is making repeated mistakes which are really starting to wind up those following City each week.

Every good story comes to an end and maybe now is the best time for Guardiola to part ways with Man City.

It would not be the ideal conclusion to his time in Manchester, but he needs to assess whether his continued presence is going to help the club, or whether it could actually be a hindrance.
