Confirmed Manchester City lineup to take on Real Madrid at the Bernabeu – Pep Guardiola makes seven changes

Pep Guardiola’s starting XI for tonight’s Champions League last 16 tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City has been revealed.

If there is one area where Manchester City have shown themselves to be one of the strongest teams around this season, it is in cup competitions.

Pep Guardiola’s team are enjoying knockout football, having recently made it to the FA Cup quarter-finals after an away win against Newcastle.

As well as this, Man City have reached the Carabao Cup final and will take on Arsenal later in the month in what could end up being their first piece of silverware this season.

However, right now the club’s focus is on the UEFA Champions League and tonight’s starting eleven have been named ahead of what should be an absolute cracker.

Manchester City make seven changes to the team who beat Newcastle

Gianluigi Donnarumma is back in goal after a rare start for James Trafford at the weekend. In front of him are Marc Guehi and Ruben Dias, who last played during the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Abdukodir Khusanov moves to right-back to give Matheus Nunes a well deserved rest, while Nico O’Reilly has switched from midfield to the left-back position.

Antoine Semenyo is back in the starting lineup and he appears to be playing in attacking midfield, with Rodri and Bernardo Silva playing in the deeper roles.

Savinho and Jeremy Doku keep their places in the team and it is Erling Haaland who will lead the line up front.
