City Football Group chief operating officer takes on new role away from Manchester City

The City Football Group’s chief operating officer has just become the CEO of Stage Entertainment.

Manchester City are the core focus of the City Football Group and it is clear just how much investment has gone into the club.

At the time of the Group’s purchase, Man City were a mid-table team in the Premier League, but since then they have won multiple league titles.

Now, the focus of City’s owners is to get set for the future, with ongoing developments taking place at the Etihad Campus.

Roel de Vries will leave the City Football Group

One man who has been key to the changes seen at Man City in the past few years is Roel de Vries, who has been the chief operating officer at CFG since September 2020.

However, the Dutchman’s journey with the club appears to have come to an end, as he has been named as the new CEO of Stage Entertainment, according to Yahoo Finance.

There has been no update as of yet regarding who will replace de Vries at the City Group, but his successor will likely be appointed in the near future.

Man City will not be disrupted by change

Everything seems to be taking shape at Manchester City and the club will not be too concerned by de Vries’ exit.

There is, however, the not-so-small matter of 130 charges facing them, which could have detrimental effects.

Yet even if this ruling does not go in City’s favour, the foundations are in place to keep the club strong, no matter what circumstances occur.

Right now, the important thing is that Man City are investing into the club and are still competing at both and English and a European level.
