Manchester City lost their lead on two separate occasions on Wednesday night and Erling Haaland’s performance was particularly disappointing.
Saturday saw Manchester City get the job done against Leeds United, despite Erling Haaland’s absence due to an injury he picked up in training.
However, the forward returned to the team for Man City’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest, giving him a good chance to find his shooting boots again.
Unfortuantely, this was not how things went at all for the Norwegian international, as he failed to give the visitors anything significant to worry about.
Erling Haaland did very little for Man City against Nottingham Forest
Man City fans would have expected Haaland to affect the game, but in truth, it would not have made a difference if he had not even been on the pitch.

The striker missed two goalscoring chances and failed to land a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.
Worse still, Haaland did not create any big chances and he was unable to complete any successful dribbles past the Forest defenders.
Haaland though he should have been awarded a penalty
While Haaland’s display was well below his usual standards, there are moments outside a player’s control which have the power to change the game.
Bernardo Silva was certain Haaland should have been given a penalty after he was brought down in the box by Matz Sels.
Had this been awarded, Haaland’s performance could be viewed quite differently. However, the referee ultimately made his decision in favour of Forest and the 25 year old’s display on the whole was pretty disappointing.
