Manchester City still have a chance to win the Premier League, but one Manchester United legend does not believe they have done enough to deserve the trophy.
The Premier League title race has changed a lot over the past month, with Aston Villa failing away and Manchester City gaining ground on Arsenal.
There has been an intriguing battle between Pep Guardiola’s team and the Gunners, as both continue to push each other to secure victories.
Arsenal currently lead the way by five points, but City have an all-important game in hand, which means the clash between the teams in April could be a title decider if both keep on winning.
Paul Scholes claims Man City do not deserve Premier League title
Not everyone is enjoying Man City’s battle with Arsenal for the title, including ex-Red Devil Paul Scholes, who believes neither team deserves to win the Premier League.
The former midfielder has even suggested the trophy should not be handed out this year, while he took issue with what the team’s matches have been like to watch.

Paul Scholes says no team deserves to win the Premier League this season! 😂 pic.twitter.com/R0mb0psFIX
Scholes told The Good, the Bad and the Football: “Whoever wins the league, you said at the end of it they deserve it. None of them have convinced me that they should be Premier League champions.
“I don’t think they should give the trophy out this year. No one deserves it. Honestly, it’s not been great to watch.”
Scholes sounds bitter about Man City’s title charge
It is obvious that Scholes will be routing for Manchester United and while Michael Carrick has drastically improved his old club, they are not going to win the league.
That has likely played a part in prompting the Englishman to make his claim, but his comments about the teams not being great to watch are also quite telling.
Scholes is not just talking about their performances, but how entertaining their style of play is too. However, whichever team gets more points than the other 19 sides in the league deserves the title, whether that is Arsenal or Man City.
If Scholes is that unhappy about the prospect of City or Arsenal winning the league title, maybe he should just stop watching.
