Manchester City eye another victory over Real Madrid in Champions League

Manchester City have learned which team they will face in the Champions League last 16 and it is bound to be a tie to remember.

Manchester City are highly focused on the Premier League, but the best teams in football aim to win every competition in which they compete.

Pep Guardiola has already shown this to be possible, having won a famous treble back in the 2022/23 season.

And now, he will be looking to replicate this achievement, with four pieces of silverware still to be won.

Manchester City draw Real Madrid in Champions League last 16

The Champions League will be one of Man City’s top priorities and it is now known which team will be heading to the Etihad Stadium in the round of 16.

City will be taking on Real Madrid over the two legs in a fixture which has been seen repeatedly in the competition over the years.

In fact, the two teams have already met in the league phase back in December, with Man City claiming a 2-1 victory at the Bernabeu.

Man City will feel less pressure against Real Madrid

There is no question that Real Madrid will be a tough team to break down, but Man City may feel a sense of relief at not having to face Bodo/Glimt.

The Norwegian team recorded a shock league phase victory over City and have continued to record big wins throughout each stage of the competition.

Man City will not feel the weight of heavy expectations quite as much against Real Madrid, which should work to their advantage.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top this time around, as two of Europe’s biggest clubs do battle once again.
