Manchester City are considering a goalkeeper who is currently playing his first season in the Premier League.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is celebrating his 27th birthday today and he will be hoping to have a lot more to celebrate by the end of the season.
Manchester City are one win away from claiming the Carabao Cup and there is still time to leapfrog Arsenal in the Premier League.
However, being at Man City does not guarantee happiness, which is certainly the case with bench warmer James Trafford.
With the backup goalkeeper struggling for game time this season, it has been reported that Trafford could leave Manchester City this summer.
Manchester City could look to sign Robin Roefs
If Trafford does leave, Man City will want to sign another goalkeeper to keep Donnarumma on his toes and it appears the club have identified a replacement for the Englishman.

According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester City are chasing Sunderland’s Robin Roefs, along with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, the 23-year-old has a contract at his current club which lasts until 2030 and a fee of at least £50m would be required for Man City to complete a deal.
£50m is a lot to spend on a second choice goalkeeper
Donnarumma is having a strong first season at the Etihad Stadium and it is unlikely he would be replaced in the first-team.
Therefore, City would be paying a lot of money for Roefs, considering he would be expected to function as a backup goalkeeper.
Trafford only cost £27m and at the time it was thought that he could be first-choice under Pep Guardiola, so it would be strange for the Citizens to spend so much on Roefs.
