Erling Haaland has a lengthy contract at Manchester City, but this has not stopped one of Europe’s biggest clubs from looking to secure his signature.
Erling Haaland has been quite the signing for Manchester City since he made the move from Borussia Dortmund almost four years ago.
The striker won the Premier League golden boot in his first season at the club after scoring 36 goals and he claimed the award for a second time the following campaign.
Haaland is currently leading the way to record a third golden boot victory and this has caused a number of European sides to consider him as a transfer option.
PSG want to sign Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland is tied down to a contract which will see him remain at Manchester City until 2034, making a move seem unlikely.
However, Team Talk have reported that PSG have made discreet enquiries about the Norweigen’s long-term future at the Sky Blues.
Both Barcelona and Real Madrid believe Haaland’s current deal contains release clauses that would allow them to bring him to La Liga, but they now face competition from the Champions League holders.
PSG have asked to be kept informed of any developments concerning Haaland’s future and their interest in him is unrelated to whether or not Ousmanne Dembele will depart this summer.
Man City will have no interest in selling Haaland
It is easy to see why the world’s greatest teams are queuing up to sign Haaland, but ultimately there will be no interest from City to secure his sale.
The 25-year-old is their main goalscorer and there are very few centre forwards around who would be able to replicate what he brings to Pep Guardiola’s team.
With a long contract already in place and the player himself showing no signs of being discontent, it certainly does not appear that he will leave Man City any time soon.
