Manchester City face a trip to Germany to play an out of form Schalke side, who currently sit 14th in the Bundesliga.
However, the Champions League is a different competition to the Bundesliga, and the form book goes out of the window.
Schalke will be ready to battle hard as a competitive run in Europe looks to be their only chance to give the fans something to cheer about this season. It will be exciting to see if new boy Rabbi Matondo gets the nod against his old club.
The City side are missing a couple of key players as John Stones and Gabriel Jesus both picked up injuries and did not travel with the squad. However, captain Vincent Kompany has travelled. That could be a huge boost for a competitive end to the season!
