Manchester City youngster Foden attracting interest from European sides

Manchester City youngster Phil Foden has emerged as a target for Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and PSG, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Foden is held in extremely high esteem at the Etihad Stadium, with manager Pep Guardiola a known admirer of his talents.

The prospect has been used sporadically in City’s first-team this season but has found himself, rather inevitably, behind the likes of David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan in the pecking order.

It’s stated in the Daily Mail’s report that although Foden would be unlikely to depart City given his commitment to the cause under Guardiola, the prospect of first-team football on a more regular basis elsewhere would be tempting.

A move to Dortmund would also allow Foden to reunite with former City youngster Jadon Sancho, who has thrived since his move to Germany.

Foden netted his first ever goal for Manchester City in September as he helped his side defeat Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.
