Manchester City finally wrapped up the Premier League title today, after missing out on the opportunity to do so against Manchester United.
The title was finally City’s after West Brom beat United at Old Trafford, meaning that Jose Mourinho’s side can no longer catch City.
City finally took the Silverware, clinching their fifth league title in their history, their third Premier League title. It means City will complete a League and Cup double after clinching the League Cup against Arsenal at Wembley earlier on this season.
City’s title victory has been inevitable for what has seemingly been all season. Pep Guardiola has transformed his side into one of the best sides ever to play in England, and has masterminded this excellent season.
Pep Guardiola’s side will not be able to complete a treble however, after suffering a defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League quarter finals.
This shouldn’t shadow what has been a fantastic season for City, with many fantastic wins helping them on their way to the title.
