Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has returned to first team training today following an injury lay-off which has seen him miss the last couple of weeks, as reported by the Belfast Telegraph.
He was ruled out for up to six weeks following ankle ligament damage which was picked up in City’s comprehensive FA Cup fourth round victory over Cardiff City last month.
Sane has played a vital role for City this season and seems to be ready to return earlier than many people had expected.
It is unlikely that he will be ready in time to travel out to Basel with the squad for their tie in the last 16 of the Champions League this week but he is making strong progress.
