Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has taken significant steps in his road to recovery, the Daily Mail reports.
The Argentina international has been sidelined since being involved in a car crash out in Amsterdam, where he went to attend a concert. The taxi that Aguero was in took a wrong turn and crashed, leaving the experienced forward with a rib injury.
However, he has resumed light training just 11 days after the incident, and is looking to make a swift return to action following a positive start to the season with City.
Although the session Aguero participated in was merely to work on his fitness upon his return, it’s undoubtedly encouraging news to hear that the former Atletico Madrid man is back on his feet and in training again.
Gabriel Jesus has been deputising as City’s starting striker in Aguero’s absence, and will look to make the most of his chance following the international break.
