With Celtic’s season now at a close, one of the questions Manchester City will be asking is: what do we do with Patrick Roberts?
The 20-year-old has scored 11 goals in a total of 45 games for the Hoops this season. He has played a key role in the unbeaten domestic run for Celtic, helping them achieve the Scottish treble.
Manchester City have obviously not had the greatest of seasons this year. Could Roberts be the player to help them next year?
It’s argued that the SPL is not as demanding as the Premier League but what he has shown this season has been very good. Also, he is in high demand from the likes of Hoffenheim and Schalke.
It begs the question: do you bring back a player who has performed at a high level or do you sell him off to another club for a handsome fee? Only time will tell.
Also, we have to take into consideration what Roberts himself wants. He is in high demand from the fans at Celtic Park. He’s shown this on Twitter.

Does he himself want to be back at Celtic? Would he get into the Pep Guardiola team at City? Does he want to play week in, week out? These are all questions he will be asking himself.
After a successful season in Scotland this year it is obvious that the youngster has many options open. He is in high demand in Germany and back in Glasgow.
