West Ham are closing in a deal to sign the Argentine defender on a free transfer in the summer window, according to Sky Sports.
Pablo Zabaleta will be leaving Manchester City at the end of June when his contract expires after spending nine years with the north-west club, and West Ham is his most likely destination.
Zabaleta had a decent spell at the Etihad, making over 300 appearances and winning two league and League Cup titles respectively, with one FA Cup.
The Hammers had quite an interesting season, finishing 11th just behind West Brom after a scare of relegation with a tough start and to make sure not to see a similar situation, Bilic will try his best to rope in big names in time.
The Argentinian will go down as a legend in City’s recent history and it was an emotional farewell at the end of City’s season recently against West Brom.
