The full-back, who joined Juventus from Portuguese giants Porto in the summer of 2015 for a fee of £24 million, has made 23 appearances for the Old Lady this season, scoring two goals.

The 26-year-old has been instrumental in Juventus’ Champions League campaign and domestic campaign this season, helping the Old Lady to the semi-finals of the Champions League and an eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.

The Brazilian will be an instant upgrade on current ageing full-back’s Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov, with the 26-year-old offering  lots of pace and power going forward and defensively
