Manchester City are reportedly in the process of buying a Uruguayan second division team to add to their current group of clubs from around the world.
According to major Uruguayan source Ovacion, the club City are looking to buy are called Atletico Torque, who were founded in 2007.
The report states that a European business group made up of advisors from Manchester City have been working alongside Torque to negotiate a takeover deal. A sports complex has been planned to be built for the senior squad of Torque, as well as the youth team.
The main aim for Torque is for them to reach the Uruguayan first division, Primera Division, and become a force in the league, just like their potential sister clubs within City Football Group. The group’s main intent for the club, however, is to get promoted as quickly as possible. 
City Football Group already have takeover deals with American team New York City FC, Australian team Melbourne City and Japanese team Yokohama Marinos.
The report from Ovacion also states that an announcement will be made soon from City Football Group of the recent takeover, which will be another massive step forward for Manchester City and its owners.
