Manchester City may add another winger to their ranks after sending scouts to watch Sporting’s Gelson Martins when the Portuguese side met European giants Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek.
21-year-old Martins has already racked up two goals and seven assists in the Primeira Liga and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s heavyweights.

According to the Daily Express, fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea are also monitoring the progress of one of Europe’s hottest talents, but City have shown the most interest in pursuing the signing thus far.
Sporting have revealed that there is a new contract offer on the table for their prodigy, but they are unlikely to be able to provide the same monetary incentives as some of the other sides that have been linked with a move for Martins.

Martins is, however, likely to remain at Sporting until at least next summer, with his current club under no pressure to sell him before then.
