After 13 competitive games of the season, Pep Guardiola’s reign at Manchester City is well underway. Ten wins, two draws and a loss isn’t a bad record for a manager new to the league with a specific tactical brain.
He has found out the tough nature of his new job here in the last three games; securing draws against Celtic and Everton with a loss to Tottenham sandwiched in between. But his ten consecutive wins beforehand showcases his, and his players’, quality.
The Spaniard has got the most out of City’s current crop of players as well as getting rid of some of the dead wood, but he has also been able to incorporate a host of new signings into his regime.
But how have the Spaniard’s summer signings fared? It is still early in the campaign and these grades may change, but the Blues’ new faces have largely impressed so far this term.
I take a look and grade each of them in turn. Let us know what you think in the comments, or tweet us @ReadManCity.
