Manchester City full-back Bacary Sagna could face time on the sidelines after picking up an injury on international duty with France.
The 33-year-old lasted just 22 minutes of their World Cup Qualifying match against Bulgaria but did assist Kevin Gameiro’s equaliser before being forced off of the pitch.

Twitter: If Twitter translate is any good, Sagna fears he’s torn a muscle. Tests tomorrow, could return to Manchester. Cheer… https://t.co/FanPy4PPjV (@Sammy_Goal)
Sagna is set to return to Manchester on Saturday to undergo further tests, but there are fears, confirmed by the player himself, that he has torn a muscle. If these concerns are made official, Sagna could face months out.
The injury does, however, offer a reprieval for Pablo Zabaleta, who has endured a frustrating year after failing to reclaim his first-choice spot at right-back after a lengthy absence. Youngster Pablo Maffeo – a prominent part of City’s pre-season campaign – could also be offered the opportunity to show manager Pep Guardiola how he can cope in competitive fixtures.
