Manchester City travel to Celtic Park knowing that a win will leave them in a very strong position in Group C, especially if Barcelona defeat Borussia Monchengladbach.
That outcome would leave City and Barca on six points each and leave Celtic and Monchengladbach on zero, which would all but guarantee qualification to the knock out stages.
Kevin de Bruyne, Fabian Delph and Vincent Kompany are all unavailable for selection but Pep Guardiola has enough players at his disposal to pick a team that is more than capable of winning at Celtic in front of what is expected to be a hostile home crowd.
