Guardiola’s exceptional record against United boss Jose Mourinho continued after a fantastic opening 40 minutes from the Blues, where City led 2-0 through Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho.
A Claudio Bravo blunder, on his City debut, late in the first half gave the hosts some hope but the Blues held firm after the break and took all three points back to the Etihad.
