Leroy Sane has finally completed his move to Manchester City after months of speculation over his Schalke future.
The 20-year-old has been linked with City since it was announced Pep Guardiola was taking over for the 2016-17 season, and The Blues have finally got their man.
The youngster was wanted by many top clubs this summer, but chiefly City and Pep’s former team Bayern Munich. The Blues have been locked in negotiations with Schalke for weeks, with the player ready to sign once a deal was agreed between the two clubs.

It has been reported that the deal for the midfielder consists of an initial fee of around £31 million, with bonuses in the region of £11m, plus a sum for wages, image rights and so on.
Sane had his best season yet for Schalke last season, playing 33 times in the Bundesliga, scoring eight times. He proved to be a good creative threat for the Gelsenkirchen-based team, and came to be revered as one of Europe’s hottest prospects. His exploits earned him a place in the Germany squad for the European Championships, but he made just one appearance in France.

The young midfielder becomes the sixth signing of the summer for The Blues, with players like Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito and Oleksandr Zinchenko having already signed. Gabriel Jesus is likely to be the next name to be announced, although he’ll be allowed to return to Brazil, to see out the league season in a campaign in which he is the competition’s top scorer. John Stones could also join, although the latest rumours say City have sent Everton their “final offer” for the England defender.
Sane will wear the #19 shirt at Manchester City, which has been used by Samir Nasri and Karim Rekik in recent years.
