Manchester City have expressed an in signing Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas, according to the player’s agent.
City face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United, who they will face in China on Monday, and Chelsea.

Manolas’ agent, Evangelopoulos, told Italian newspaper Il Tempo that he is unsure whether the Greek defender will remain in Rome this summer.
The best clubs in Europe want him. There isn’t just Manchester City, but also United and Chelsea.

Manolas joined Roma in 2014 and has impressed in his two seasons in Serie A.
As reported by Sky Sports, Manchester City have retained their interest in Everton defender John Stones and Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci but are exploring different options too.

Various other reports have suggested that City boss Pep Guardiola is looking to recruit two new central defenders – one to replace Martin Demichelis and one to replace Eliaquim Mangala, who is expected to leave before the end of the transfer window.
