Preparations are well underway for the 2016/17 campaign and Manchester City will face four tough pre-season friendlies before they begin their Premier League season.
Matches against Pep Guardiola’s former club Bayern Munich and cross-city rivals Manchester United have been scheduled alongside games versus two good sides in Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal respectively.
This is, by far, the most challenging pre-season schedule that City have had in a number of years. Will they be able to cope with the challenge?
Pre-season is often used to give youngsters the chance to impress, especially when there is a new manager in charge. City’s academy will be looking to show off their talents and win a place in the senior squad for the coming season.
