Manchester City are ready to submit a bid for West Ham’s highly-rated Reece Oxford and made an official approach on Monday evening, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Oxford has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hammers this summer with City, as well as the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, showing an interest in the 17-year-old.

Red Bull Leipzig have already had a bid in the region of £10m rejected for Oxford, so a significantly higher fee is likely to be demanded in order for City to rob West Ham of one of their most promising talents.
City scouts have been watching Oxford in the U19 European Championships, where he has started in two of England’s three group stage matches.

Most of the Sky Blues faithful will remember the Englishman’s exceptional midfield performance of the opening day of the 2015/16 season, where he helped West Ham to a 2-0 victory over Arsenal.
