Manchester City return to action on July 20, playing their first pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich, the club Pep Guardiola left to take the reins at City.
Even for a friendly, it’s sure to be a fascinating watch as Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti look to outwit one another.
City have been working intensely in training with their new boss and will take to the field for their first time as a Pep Guardiola managed team at the Allianz Arena.
Due to various City players participating in the Euro’s and Copa America in the summer, the Blues won’t be at full-strength for their first set of pre-season fixtures.
That could open up plenty of opportunities for City’s youngsters – many of which have been training with the first-team and looking to impress Guardiola, who has no problem integrating young players into the first-team if they have the right qualities.
It’s not an easy one to predict, with it being a pre-season fixture, but we’ve had a go at predicting how City will line up against Bayern Munich.
