Pablo Zabaleta is a man in demand after having garnered the interest of Inter Milan following rumours he was close to agreeing a deal with the club from the capital AS Roma, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 31-year-old had a disappointing 15/16 season which was plagued by injury and time on the sidelines, having been superseded by Frenchman Bacary Sagna for a starting berth.

With a year left on his Manchester City contract, the fans favourite has sparked interest from the club he scored against a year ago, AS Roma, and from the club of his former manager – Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan.
He would join either one of his former teammates Edin Dzeko in joining Roma or Stefan Jovetic if he opted for the Nerazzurri. It is said that Roma’s initial interest accelerated a move for the Argentine in the Inter camp.

The City veteran, who joined in 2008, has made more than 300 appearances for the Blues. His departure will be a great source of sadness for many City fans who view the right-back as a cult hero at the club.
He was signed by Mark Hughes and won an FA Cup, two Premier League titles and a brace of League Cups in his time in Manchester.
