City fans are well aware that the 2015/16 won’t go down as the most memorable as it featured some catastrophic results and performances in the big games – as reflected in City’s record against the big sides in the Premier League.
Too often, they were outplayed by teams who would normally be seen as inferior and at times, it made for difficult viewing.
But it was not all bad, though. Although rare and irregular, City did produce a few accomplished performances which showed glimpses of what they can produce when things fall into place. Many of those performances came in the Champions League campaign which ultimately ended in a narrow semi-final defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
