Manchester City drew 2-2 against Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in what was manager Manuel Pellegrini’s last game at the Etihad.
City started well with Aguero breaking the deadlock early on before Giroud quickly levelled the affair with a header from a corner.
City proceeded to take the lead once more via a low Kevin De Bruyne strike in the second half. Alexis Sanchez made it 2-2 towards the end after some fairly sloppy defending from the Blues.
This result now means City’s Champions League fate is out of their hands as rivals Manchester United have a game in hand over the Citizens, which is a game against West Ham midweek in the hosts last game at the Boleyn ground.
City will face Swansea next where even a win may not be enough for them, United face West Ham and then host Bournemouth at Old Trafford in their last game of the season.
