Three reasons for Champions League optimism

Just 18 years after suffering relegation to the third tier, Manchester City are set to appear in one of the biggest games in an eventful 122 year history. A European Cup semi-final against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu. It is a game of enormous magnitude.

As implausible as it may seem, City are potentially just 90 minutes from reaching the Champions League Final. Here are three reasons why what was once just fantasy can in fact become reality.
