Despite having a season plagued with injuries, Manchester City captain, Vincent Kompany will not leave this summer according to his agent.
With Pep Guardiola’s arrival in the summer, there were fears that Kompany may have been forced to leave the club with his recent injury record.
Guardiola will be looking to strengthen City’s defence with England and Everton centre-back John Stones rumoured to be a major target for The Blues.

Kompany is set to return for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea after missing the Champions League quarter-final win against PSG last Tuesday.
Kompany’s agent, Jacques Lichenstein, spoke to Sport/ Voetbal Magazine clarifying that Kompany will not be leaving the club and is looking forward to working with Guardiola.
Vincent is stronger than ever. We are in touch on a daily basis and he’s absolutely not worried about his future. That’s his strength. He still has a contract for three seasons, he’s the captain of one of the biggest clubs in the world and he’s convinced his best years are ahead of him. He still stays an important player in the squad. The stats are proving it. Why would he be leaving?
