Manchester City clashed with Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital last night in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
With many seeing PSG as favourites in this match, City went into the match as the underdogs in what proved to be a huge night for The Sky Blues.
The match ended 2-2 with City in the better position going into the second leg at the Etihad with two away goals.
Despite the positive result, there were some scary defensive moments including Fernando’s poor touch which led to Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring the equaliser to make it 1-1 at the end of the first half.
For all of PSG’s attacking threat, City were able to control the likes of Ibrahimovic and Angel Di Maria which many fans and pundits thought would tear City apart.
Manuel Pellegrini clearly wants to win the Champions League with the way City play and, with the battle for fourth place heating up, winning the competition maybe City’s best chance to get into the competition for next season.
