Manuel Pellegrini says Manchester City are fully focused on the current campaign despite recent woes, reports Goal .
City have slipped to fourth in the Premier League after a horrible run of form. Many believe the reason for this is the announcement that Pep Guardiola will replace Pellegrini at the helm in the summer, culminating in the team losing motivation.
Pellegrini however doesn’t buy into this theory and says his side are concentrating on finishing the season strongly.

Speaking at Friday’s press conference, he said:
I think that as a manager and as a player, you must always be motivated. It doesn’t matter, you never know what will happen at the end of the season. It’s very important for the mentality of the players to always try to be a winner, to try to win as many titles and games as you can. So I don’t think anybody is thinking about what will happen next season. Every player must be thinking about what is happening in this moment and to try to finish as a successful season.
Pellegrini has talked about the possibility of remaining in the Premier League once he finishes up at City, but there have also been links with both Valencia and Zenit St Petersburg.
He refused to comment on those rumours and says he is only thinking about finishing the season with City.

I am not talking or thinking about anything away from Manchester City so all of those are rumours in different countries.
I appreciate that a lot of teams maybe want for me to be their next manager but really I am not thinking about anything more than but finishing the season here. When I finish, for respect for other managers, for everyone, I will see what happens with my future.
