In Pictures: Manchester City reach the Champions League quarter finals

Manchester City reached the Champions League quarter finals for the first time in their history with a goalless draw against Dynamo Kiev.

The damage was done in the first leg, where City were good value for their win in Ukraine – with goals from Aguero, Silva and Yaya Toure sealing a win.

City were far less fluent in the second leg and there was a lack of excitement against a disinterested Dynamo side who showed no signs of urgency.

The major disappointment for City was seeing their two first choice defenders hobble off in the first half, adding to an already steep injury list. Both Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi are doubts for the Manchester United.

And though it was a canta, City’s achievement should not be overlooked and they were well due a favourable draw. Here’s hoping that City are not hit with another nightmare draw.

Here are a selection of images from the game.
