This was always going to be an interesting watch with the fixture pile up causing City boss Manuel Pellegrini to field a seriously weakened side, full of youth and inexperience. Although five goals were leaked, the young Blues pegged back a full-strength Chelsea and looked dangerous at times. City, with the majority of first-team players left out of this tie, will now need to get past a Dynamo Kiev side on Wednesday as City travel to the Ukraine to take them on in the first of a double-header.
