Another high-profile loss for Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City as the Sky Blues lost their 7th game of a somewhat odd campaign to a well-drilled Spurs outfit.
The 2-1 loss contained a Harry Kane penalty, contentiously handed to Spurs after Clattenburg had deemed Raheem Sterling to handle in the box, which was easily put away by the number 10. Youngster Kelechi Iheanacho levelled the match in the second half before Christian Eriksen won it late on.
City travel to Stamford Bridge to play an inform Chelsea in the FA Cup before they head to Kiev, where they hope to come away with a good result in the first of a double headed affair.
