According to the Brentwood Gazette, West Ham could make a shock loan move for Manchester City youngster Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Nigerian was promoted to the City squad for the current campaign after an impressive pre-season.
At present, he has featured 12 times for the club – with the majority of his appearances coming from the substitutes bench.

He has, however, made an impact when called upon – scoring four times for City – including late winners against Crystal Palace and Swansea.
He has also had a fair bit of success in the Capital One Cup, with goals coming in comfortable wins over Crystal Palace and Hull respectively.
The 19-year old has been overlooked at times by Manuel Pellegrini though, and a loan to another Premier League side may well be the best option for his development.

West Ham are in need of a striker after suffering a series of injury blows to their strike-force.
Kelechi, a technically sound player with a real striker’s instinct, could be the answer and it could be a move that benefits all parties.
