Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed he wishes to manage in England when he leaves Bayern Munich in the summer.
The Spaniard will not be renewing his contract with Bayern, putting a host of clubs on red alert.
Manchester City have been heavily linked with the former Barcelona coach and now Guardiola has revealed that he wants a job in the Premier League.
At a news conference today, Guardiola said:
I want to coach in Premier League. That is the reason I did not prolong my contract.
Guardiola has good relations with Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano from their time together at Barca, and the duo are believed to want him at City to oversee the club’s growth.

The 44-year old admits he is keen on a new challenge and the prospect of managing in the Premier League is an appealing one.
Three years are enough. I am not comfortable with staying at one club for 30 years. I want new restaurants, a new city, a new challenge. When I got to Munich, people asked, ‘Why Germany and not England?’ I want to experience the emotions there. Why England? That’s my instinct right now.
Guardiola’s recent comments will only fuel talk of him taking over Manchester City in the summer, though Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been touted as potential destinations.
