Manchester City were unlucky to draw a blank against a Leicester side who have, against all odds, found themselves 2nd placed going into the new year. City started well and attacked a Leicester side who have often been used to dictating the pace and tempo of games this season.
Sterling looked spritely and had a couple of chances, while Leicester could easily have taken the lead had Marc Albrighton connected properly with a cross at the back stick. The second half was a cagey affair with both sides struggling to mount anything serious in order to win the game. The game effectively got away from City once David Silva and Sergio Aguero were withdrawn from the fray and the game fizzled out for a sharing of the spoils.
